1. Ensure hair is dry and unwashed. Mix equal amounts of the Herbatint botanical color gel and the glycol developer in a plastic or glass container.
2. Apply the mixture to the hair immediately using the applicator brush. The mixed color is not a reference for the final result.
3. For previously colored hair: Apply the mixture only to the roots. Wait 30 minutes. Then, distribute the remaining mixture through the lengths and ends. Wait an additional 10 minutes (total 40 minutes).
4. For natural, uncolored hair: Apply the mixture from roots to ends, section by section. Do not comb the hair. Do not save any leftover mixture. Wait for 40 minutes.
5. After the development time, rinse hair thoroughly with lukewarm water until the water runs clear, tilting your head back.
6. Wash hair with a recommended Herbatint shampoo and rinse.
7. Apply the Herbatint botanical hair cream, leave for 5 minutes, then rinse and dry hair.
